Is traveling to countries worldwide on your bucket list?
How about having the travel expenses completely covered, being able to take multiple trips a year, and getting paid to do what you already do now?
Then corporate consulting should be on your radar.
You can bring your family and/or significant other on your corporate consulting tours and make this a regular part of your revenue. These perks (and more) make international corporate consulting very appealing.
Your natural question may be: How can I book my first international consulting gig? There are six strategies I’ve used to book consulting gigs at corporations in 80 countries over the last nine years.
The first strategy is the easiest and most natural place to start: multinational corporations.
You can pitch corporations in other countries, but the smoothest transition into international consulting is to book consulting contracts with multinational corporations.
Essentially, you look for a corporation in your country with worldwide offices. When you book a corporate contract at the main office, you then have the leverage to give the same training and/or a variety of training at their other offices in over 100 countries.
I’ve done consulting tours for six multinational corporations that took me to 80 countries. I’ve traveled to Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and, of course, the United States, pretty much giving the same training.
When I booked the first corporate contract and did well with the training, I was asked to train at their other offices worldwide.
When you think of multinational companies, you probably think of some giant corporation. However, you don’t need to book a contract with Amazon to travel the world as a corporate consultant.
Here are some examples of multinational corporations actively looking to book consultants who can travel and train.
